in medias res

I first set up this blog several years ago but never really did anything with it, other than reprint a few things I had published elsewhere. I don't think I really knew, at that point, what it was I wanted Paper Knife to do. Whether I have a clearer idea now remains to be seen. However, I do want a particular kind of space in which to explore my thoughts about reading, writing, art, culture, etc. and Paper Knife is probably the kind of space I need.

As a new year approaches, I've decided it's time to sharpen up my skills as a reviewer and commentator, and restart Paper Knife.
